i didn't know where exactly to post this so i thought that here was as good a place as any.

im interested in what you guys think about the professions as a whole. i know allot of people think that Assassins are over powered and some people say the paragon is under powered.

personally i think that the balance in the classes is just about spot on. what do you guys think?

The professions are generally ok.

Yes people say that the assassins are over powered, but i mean, come on, my monk with her spear could kill a Sin, which makes up for the speed of damage they can deal.

Paragons aren't under powered, they are buffers and support for the monks -.- And their spears DO deal alot.

Mesmers can turn the tide of battles quickly but can be taken down just as fast.

Warriors...well, where would u be without a gd old tank Razz

Monks, same as above

Rts are pretty good healers but i recommend u have monks too.

Necros r gd but they can die pretty quick.

Rangers are great at not dying Very Happy

Dervs have alot of damage, but again, not 80 armor and one necro or mesmer will kill u

Eles aren't over powered in nm -.- Eles just happen to be able to deal it quickly, but they have long recharges, which is where other professions pick up the slack.

Generally, all the professions are balanced which i think anet are pretty gd and keeping up. I mean in WoW a warriors just pwns everything and with a monk - unbeatable, especially in pvp. WoW is the most unbalanced thing i've ever seen.

i cant really say about most things, but 1 thing i do notice, for the dps and armor of the dervish i do find it more over powered than most over things.

for example a tin can (i.e me) who has max arm crammed with runes and using melee skill buffs still cannot take out a normal derv running any kind of pvp build. it is just too damned quick at healing itself and doing too much dmg anyway for me to kill it without loosing too much health.

apart from that everything else can be a 50/50 fight when 1 vs 1. Well maybe not a tin vs monk, but you get the idea.

I would like to add this point to this interesting thread...

When I monk I always get a sneaky few wands in on the called target - when I'm not activating a prot skill. It's surprising how quickly the dmg can add up (no really!!)

Particularly when my eles have used Mark Of Rodgort, the fire dmg of the staff activates the 3-4 sec burning. I like to do my little bit for the team Razz

<File my post under "Ridiculous" please>

great point doggie dude!

jsut because your calls is not a primary 'weapon' user, it does not mean that you DONT need to use your weapon. that few point of damage you do could turn the tide if it gets close Wink

Krais, So Dervs r gd at healing and not dying vsing ur Tin Can.

Everyone else can kill them. Thats whats so great about the way these professions r done by anet. They are good against some, bad against other. I mean, in AB, if ur a Derv, dont go running into the Mesmer Shrine xD
